Former Montreal Alouettes receiver Danny Desriveaux has found a new CFL home with the Toronto Argonauts.
In February, Desriveaux was granted his release from the former club so he could find a better situation elsewhere to get more playing time considering how loaded the Alouettes are at his position.
He is reunited with former Alouettes offensive coordinator Scott Milanovich who should feel at ease knowing that he has a player familiar with his system that he employed in Montreal. Furthermore, it enables current Argonauts quarterback, Ricky Ray to have another experienced player in this system who could help shed more light on route adjustments.
Even though Desriveaux has not been a major contributor with the Alouettes for the last couple of seasons, it does weaken a division rival.
As the season approaches, could Anwar Stewart be far behind in signing with Toronto? Throughout the off season it has been mentioned numerous times that the Argonauts have a vested interest in Stewart. We will surely find out the true worth of Stewart once a CFL team is hit by the injury bug.
