Could Vince Young ever play for the Montreal Alouettes?

With the Montreal Alouettes adding free agent NFL quarterback Vince Young to their negotiation list. Could the former Texas Longhorn star make his way up to Canada?

The answer to this question will not be known for a while. For starters, the Alouettes are well stocked with quarterbacks on their roster. Do they want to risk releasing one of their backups who they've invested time in for a player with no CFL experience?

For Young to potentially join the organization it could bring unwanted attention for the mercurial star. It would be a dramatic fall from grace for a player who went from being third overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft, to being on the cover of the Madden video game, to now playing football in Canada. Most importantly, it would take some time for Young to immerse himself into the Canadian game.

Keep in-mind, that the CFL negotiation list is ever changing like gas prices. The Alouettes could have done this to protect themselves from another CFL team adding Young. Considering that this list is kept under wraps, they could very well delete him at anytime without the announcement ever going public.

Most certainly Young will continue to explore his NFL options before ever considering venturing up to the CFL to continue on with his professional football career.

For now it has brought some attention to the Alouettes, and Young on a potential marriage in the future.
